Today I woke up with a lump in my throat.

 And it was Lake Superior.

I thought about our first year in Marquette.

But mostly I thought about ice.

And cold.

You see, it's 44 today in Spokane.

And I want to cover everything in winter.

But it wouldn't be the same.

The Spokane river isn't big enough.
